Who writes our content
The service descriptions, assessments and Compliance Decoder articles on this site are written or directly reviewed by Denis Murila, founder of CloudGrid Africa, drawing on hands-on work in cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity and data protection in Kenya and East Africa.
Sourcing standards
Compliance Decoder articles cite their sources at the foot of each issue: determinations of the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner, court decisions, the Data Protection Act 2019 and its regulations, and commentary from named law firms. Security guidance draws on primary sources including NIST, OWASP, CISA and the CIS Controls.
Assessments
Our assessments score the answers you give. They show where to look and are not a substitute for an audit. How each score is calculated is explained on the assessments page.
Corrections
If you find a factual error anywhere on this site, email denis@cloudgridafrica.com and we will review and correct it within 5 business days.
